Burger recipe, cheddar, bacon with cauliflower and Dijon

(4 servings)

Burger

  • 750 g (1 1/2 lb.) lean ground beef
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) chopped green onion yes white or red onion
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • MTL Steak Spice
  • 4 burger buns
  • Cauliflower puree Épurée
  • 2 tbsp. Dijon mustard (to taste)
  • 100 gr old cheddar
  • 8 slices of bacon (Gosselin smokers) or 4 slices of prosciutto
  • Salt and pepper

Trim (your choice)

  • Tomato
  • Salad
  • pickle
  1. Mix ground beef, garlic and onions in a cold bowl, season and refrigerate for 1 hour. 
  2. Cook 30g of mixed ground beef in the microwave or in a frying pan to make sure the meat is well seasoned. 
  3. Prepare 4 patties and cook over high heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. The dumpling should remain juicy. 
  4. Mix cauliflower purée with Dijon and cook bacon. 
  5. Slice bread and toast. 
  6. Finish cooking the dumpling in the oven with the cheddar cheese on top. 
  7. Enjoy your meal!

Note

* To barbecue patties: preheat bbq to high. Thoroughly clean and oil grill. Cook patties 4 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.

* Bacon and cheddar cheese can be chopped and mixed with the patties.
